Red Velvet.

It's funny how I never talk about the food part of my blog. Shame on me. (Or maybe it just shows my dedication to the fashion bit, I suppose, eh?)
Anyway, here in London. Sweet London. Everything is so perfect. (Except the Indian food, they just don't know how to do it rightm I'm afraid) I first discovered this one cupcake stand at Westfield mall which sold all different kinds of cupcakes for two pounds fifty. Which, if you convert into Indian rupees, is extremely expensive for just a tiny little cupcake. So I bought one, thinking it'd just be a one time thing. But as soon as I dug my teeth into the first red velvet cupcake, I instantly knew that it was the beginning of a twisted friendship of pure pleasure and brutal brokedom. Then, I moved to Lolas, at Topshop and Selfridges. While they were the same price, they were also slightly bigger... but not as awesome. Until a friend of mine, Talisa Oberoi, to be precise... introduced me to Hummingbirds. And it's true, it's true. I am in love. The red velvet cupcakes and cakes there are like nothing I've eaten before. They're soft, red like blood with a sweet cheese cream frosting on top. There should be rehab for Hummingbirds cupcake addicts! Seriously!
I now, go there at least twice a week and eat one there and pack 1/2 for back home to enjoy while watching a movie in bed. Ah, good times. And I don't share. No. I mean, I'll gladly take yours if you can't finish it, but if you want a bite, go get one yourself! (and then I can have the rest!)

Believe me when I say this, you're never going to have anything quite like this. I'm attempting to bake this tomorrow. So good luck to me. (Incase, you know, I burn the building down or set my flatmates on fire, or add too much os something and too little of something else. You know)

But until then, here's a visual treat of the red velvet cupcake. And to the wo/man who invented it- I salute you.

Shivan And Narresh do it again!

Shivan And Narresh (Formerly known as Shrivan Narresh) have done it again. This time, spotted super model Selita Ebanks (of the Victorias Secret fame) in a photo shoot for Essence Magazine, wearing a swimsuit by the designer duo. They're taking Hollywood down man, one hot celebrity after another. Good job you guys! And good luck! Xxo.

You can't really see what she's wearing properly, but that's the swimsuit she's wearing. I'll post a picture of it when I get my hands on one.

Later you guys.
Cheers.

Update: Here's a picture of the swimsuit she's wearing! Thanks Manisha!

Khloe channeling Rihanna.

You know how Khloe Kardashian has her own style? And you know Rihanna has her own? You know how they're both very different?... Do you see where I might be going with this? No?
Well, for a recent photoshoot Khloe did for a magazine she channeled a bit of rihanna there. With the hair and the clothes. SOMEBODY BRING THE WOMAN A MIC. I love the shoot for how completely different it is and how different it makes Khloe look! She looks like a totally different person all together. I think this might be Khloes alter ego, what with the kicking and fighting, this lady might have a reputation to protect. (Don't get me wrong though, I love just how up front she is about it all)
Here's a few pictures from the shoot. I'm still trying to figure out whether I can see any traces of the original Khloe Kardashian ANYWHERE in those images...

Nope, can't. Can you?

These pictures were taken from Khloe's Celebuzz profile. I claim no ownership of them.

Designer Chocolates, anyone?

You know, it's bad enough I can't afford real Lanvin, then have to go ahead and take the second most precious thing to me too. Chocolate. Make it all fancy and designer type. Not cool.

I do like the packaging though. Does it look delicious or just something you'd like to preserve till you die?

Your first look at the Hangover 2.

That is correct. The legendary movie is a sequel in the making. Bradley Cooper and the rest of the boys (I forget the names) are returning to the big screen later this year. This is one of the fewest shots released by the studios. I guess, to kinda build the excitement. Can we say we're ecstatic because we're ecstatic?

I think I got this image from Perez Hiltons website, yeah, either him or Bryanboy. I forget.

Shoes I thought were cool- 2010.

So you know towards the end of the year everyone does this one post where they talk about 'the year that was' or whatever, well this is my own edition of it. Except, about shoes.
Now while some of the shoes may not have necessarily been released in 2010 or may be for some season in 2011, these are shoes I personally took notice of, last year. So anyway, here they are:

Christian Louboutin for 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Thakoon

Burberry

Alexander Wang

Comme Des Garcons

Giambatista Valli

Giuseppe Zanotti

Givenchy

Alexander Wang

Christian Louboutin

Lanvin

Valentino.

The Simpsons have a couture moment.

Hah, so I found this really cute editorial from the past by Harper's Bazaar. I love how innovative the idea was. Using animated characters to show their fashionable side. Americas most beloved cartoon family- The Simpsons, model for Harpers in their couture along with their respective designers. Whether it's Homer giving Karl Lagerfeld a run for his money- with th gloves and the sunglasses, or Marge with her hair down, sipping on some bubbly with Donatella. There's also Marc Jacobs, and Gaultier, Alber Albaz and Victor and Rolf. LOVE the cartoons, love the innovative thinking, and appreciate the bold step Harpers took, showing that they don't take fashion too seriously, but have fun with it. (Here's a lesson Anna Wintour, sheesh)
